So...September 26th is come and gone. Our Fabulous Fall Fiesta Dance was a smashing success, by all accounts. This makes FOUR DANCES IN A ROW for which we've been fully subscribed for all available tickets!!!We realize that we had to turn a few people away this time, who were looking to make last minute ticket purchases. This is - obviously! - something that we NEVER want to do! However, our seating is limited (maximum 96 dancers). We STRONGLY suggest that you make arrangements to purchase your tickets no less than 2 weeks in advance of the next dance date.And for those who did attend, we SINCERELY THANK YOU for your support. We hope, and trust, that you were not disappointed.We look forward to continuing to sponsor SOLD OUT DANCE EVENTS which cater to the musical tastes of just about anybody who "justs wanna dance" in Ottawa!JWDOttawa welcomes comments from all who have attended our dances in the past. Thanks to the warm generosity of our dance participants on September 26 - and also, in no small measure, to the expert salesmanship of our volunteer 50/50 Ambassador, Anne-Marie Bellefeuille - we raised $201.00 for the The Ottawa Mission!The Mission provides emergency shelter to over 1,200 unique individuals, and successfully houses a few hundred more. As well as shelter, the Ottawa Mission provides over a million meals each year and provides other needed programs such as job training and mental health services.As these needs continues to grow in our community, it is only fitting that we do what we can to support the work of The Ottawa Mission.
Current and Upcoming Dance Information
Our next dance, The "Snowflakes and Sugarplums" Dance, will be held on Saturday, December 5th and will mark the beginning of the holiday season.TICKETS WILL GO ON SALE WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH.The launch date is a bit later than normal, mainly because we are short some of our volunteer members until that date.PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are $30.00 per person. In addition, tickets are non-refundable and may NOT be resold. It's critical, for our bar and buffet service, as well as our event insurance, that we - the organizers - are able to account for each and every ticket sold.Beginning with the December 5th dance, RESERVED SEATING WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE for our dances. To help reduce the impact of this change, we will be experimenting with a new seating arrangement for dance patrons. This should give you greater flexibility when considering larger ticket purchases at the tables you choose to be seated at, whether by yourselves or with family and friends.In addition, because of the shorter sales window for tickets, there will NOT be any Early Bird tickets available for the December dance.
Your ticket price includes: entry to the dance and a light Buffet, including tea and coffee.
Drinks can be purchased at the CASH ONLY bar (no debit or credit accepted). There is an ATM on site if needed.Drugs or outside alcohol are NOT permitted anywhere in the Legion
Dances Take Place at the Royal Canadian Legion Eastview (Branch 462) located at 294 Cyr Avenue, Vanier.Doors open at 6:45. Parking is free, in the Legion lot (south side of building). Parking is free on the street after 6pm.Parking is NOT allowed in the funeral home lot (north side of Legion).

Our Musical Artists: Alex Lopez - Generations
Generations is a father and son musical duo who capture a range of music from latin, country, classic rock, and several genres in between.Alex Lopez is an Ottawa musician who's no stranger to the music scene in the city. You can find him at various gigs across the city or teaching and shaping future muscians.Emilio Lopez boasts an impressive musical history from his early days in Mexico to his time settled here in Ottawa with his family. You can always find him cheering on Alex the loudest and proudest at any event.

How to Purchase Tickets & Other Information
We accept INTERAC e-transfer for ticket purchases to the following address: [email protected]Tickets are now $30.00 per person, effective the March 21st, 2026 dance. The increase reflects the increased costs of sponsoring these dance.Any other payment arrangement MUST BE agreed to by the JWD Team in advance.When sending your e-transfer, in the INTERAC comment box PLEASE INCLUDE the first and last names of each person for whom you are purchasing tickets.Confirmation of ticket purchase will be forwarded via return email - normally to the original e-transfer unless this is not possible - and will include a QR code for each ticket purchased. The QR code must either be presented digitally (ie., on smartphone) or by hard copy at the time of dance registration.Because of space restrictions and fire code requirements, specific seating requests will ONLY be confirmed at the time of registration on the day of the dance.Please note that we do not offer group pricing.Please note that tickets are advance purchase only; they CANNOT be purchased at the door.Please note that ticket purchases are non-refundable.If you have any questions not strictly related to ticket purchase, please contact us using the form below.
